Moving always brings mixed emotions – it can be both very exciting and stressful at the same time. To help, here are some useful tips that will help make your move efficient and trouble-free (adapted from the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation)

8-14 days before moving

2-7 days before moving

The day before moving

– Take down curtains and curtain rods

– Empty, defrost and clean refrigerator; clean the stove

The big day

– Keep paperwork accessible
– Collect all keys; keep them in a safe place

– Final walk-through: check all closets and cabinets
– If using a moving company, like Viper Transport Service, confirm the new address and delivery time with the driver

I was very impressed with Bryan’s professionalism and promptness. We originally booked another company and they overbooked and did not show up on our move day – I was hysterical. My husband after a quick search called Viper Transport Service. Bryan was able to accomplish our entire move that day even though we gave him 2 hours notice. I wish I would have contacted this company in the first place!! Life (and marriage) saver!

I’ve had a lot of guys move a lot of stuff with varying degrees of satisfaction. Chose these guys randomly on KIJIJI and threw em a 10 foot long aquarium in a basement with rocks and a stand and a ton of other stuff to bring over to mine and move a ton of furniture out of the way before the tank would fit in. They were cool, confident and they got er done. I even got in a nap while they did it. A+ 100%
